The Word of Life

John 1:1

[1]In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God and the Word was God.

[2]From the very beginning the Word was with God.

Let me first break that down here it clearly tells us how the word is life because when you continue to verse 3 of the same chapter it says not one thing was created without him. Him being God and God being the word.

Logos.

With the life of God in you, you need nothing else.The word is the seed. How??

When you plant the word in you, it sprouts and you will grow strong and firm in it.

Not forgetting that the Word is God henceforth when you read and abide yourselves in the word you are sprouting and growing in God which is what is required of us as Christians.

John 1:4-5

The Word was the source of life and this life brought light to humanity.The light shines in the darkness,

AND THE DARKNESS HAS NEVER PUT IT OUT.

This means the word is the answer for everything,it is the only truth there will ever be,it gives us the wisdom of the knowledge on how to be a Christian.

Abide in the word because it is life and it is also God.

Golden Nugget

We become more and more God like when we reas and abide ourselves in the word because the word edifies and nourishes us.You realize that the more you read the word the less prone you are to sin.

Prayer

God, I thank you for your word for it nourishes us and edifies our spirits in preparation for salvation. I thank you for that the more I read the word I am becoming more like you.
