A Reconciled Life

Isaiah 11:6-9

[6]The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

[7]And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

[8]And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.

[9]They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

The scripture reveals that there's a life where the elements of the world are reconciled. Where the lion feeds together with it's prey. Where the little child leads leopards. In a frustrated world these animals are dangerous and cause hurt to people but in a reconciled world the Bible in the message version says that the child shall even put their hand down a rattlesnakes den.

But what brings this reconciliation is knowledge. Notice when scripture is speaking, he says, *: for the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the lord.* This means that it's knowing him that brings about this reconciliation.

So when Paul speaks in the new testament and says that we have received the ministry of reconciliation. Don't you think he's saying we have received a ministry in which we carry the full revelation of God in the person of Christ.

Just a few verses before in Isaiah 11 we see that the Bible is speaking about how he uses righteousness and faithfulness as his garments to reconcile the world to himself.

Remember that no-one can come to the Christ except he is drawn by the father. Now when Christ was raised on the cross that's what draws men but where it draws them is what's interesting. He draws them to himself.

He says *come now let us reason together*.

So our place of reconciliation is in the knowledge of the father that we are drawn to by him.

*Golden Nugget*

What brings this reconciliation is knowledge. Notice when scripture is speaking, he says, *: for the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the lord.* This means that it's knowing him that brings about this reconciliation.

*Prayer*

Jesus. I know that I'm invited into a life which is reconciled. I do not live in frustration but in mercy. Thank you for everyday your mercies are renewed. I thank you because I live in you and move and find my own being in you.

Amen.
